My friend had the warm Bramley apple pie with custard – another flavoursome dish that she thoroughly enjoyed. We had room for dessert and after much decision making, I opted for the warm brownie and ice cream from the specials board. The food was tasty and fresh, and our plates were mopped clean! I relished the tender fillets with crispy skin, hot chunky ‘proper’ chips and colourful salad, plus a dollop of my friend’s tartar sauce.
